What makes up a brewery? / by tigpro

What makes up a brewery? As a brewer you spend a large amount of your day in your brewery. You want to ensure that all of your time is spent doing what you love, i.e. making beer and you don’t want to spend time worrying about the quality of your equipment. At, TigPro, we help you design and fabricate the perfect brewery for your needs. We can work with you on everything from the very top of your system down to your floor drains.

But what exactly makes up the brewhouse? Brewery equipment is measured in terms of the number of barrels that can be brewed at one time; so if a brewhouse can barrel 3.5 barrels at a time your brewhouse is a 3.5 bbl system. Some nano-breweries brew on a .5 bbl system whereas the MillerCoors brewery in Golden, CO brews somewhere near 13 million barrels of beer a year. Here at TigPro we work with you to make the perfect brewhouse for your needs. We specialize in 3.5, 7, 10, 15, 20 & 30 bbl systems.

Within the brewery you will find a hot liquor tank, mash tun lauter tun, brew kettle, fermenters, bright tanks, a heat exchanger, pumps, manifolds, working platforms and a control panel. Through out the coming weeks we will be taking a more in-depth look into these pieces of equipment. To see our best work check out our ever expanding brewery gallery.
